Did you see it on Ferrarichat.com in the IA section? There's a thread on Ferrarichat.com about "exotics in IA" or something like that. Quite a few pages, but quite a few exotics as well.

There was a Ferrari meet up in St. Donatus (south of Dubuque) back in the summer of 2009, which I unfortunately had no clue about or I sure would have been there, and there was a Ferrari F50 that showed up and it had IA plates.

And dull, there are many Lambos in Iowa. Around here, there are a handful of Murcs, Gallardos, and other exotics. Numerous Ferraris, Vipers, Ford GTs, Corvette ZR1s (some may or may not consider these exotic), Audi R8s, high-tier Porsches, a Mercedes McLaren SLR, a Saleen S7, etc.

Supposedly there's even an F50 somewhere in the state. I've seen a pic of an F50 taken in 2009 with IA plates, but I wasn't able to learn which county it's from.

Iowa is full of exotics, especially Des Moines and its surrounding suburbs, it's just not an "exotic haven" like the East or West coast.
