Very nice spot and shot! I have never seen an orange Maserati, but I did happen spot a yellow one for the first time. By the way since a few people mentioned community college, I went to one for a couple of years and spotted cars including: a 458, Testarossa, and an F12 on seperate occasions.
Panning is not the easiest task in the world and not everyone can pull it off! So I think this is an excellent shot!! And I know the disappointment of spotting an amazing car and even clicking it, but realizing it later that you've screwed the shot up coz the shutter speed was too slow!
Anyways, this has to be my best panning shot: http://www.exoticspotter.com/audi-r8-dubai-united-arab-emirates-142852
It is a little but it's only really noticeable if you zoom in. The shutter speed was 1/60 which is a little fast for the speed it was going but I rarely do panning so I didn't want to test my luck with like 1/20 which is what I used to to be able to do.
I would have loved to slow it down a bit more and get more motion in the wheels but he was in traffic and just left a red light so slowing it down even more would have made for an even tougher pan. He was going 15 mph, maybe. Yes the front is a little blurry but honestly no one would really look that close unless they were TRYING to find something wrong. Constructive criticism is fine but just saying "this shot isn't perfect" doesn't really help anyone. I didn't get this high in the rankings so quickly because I listened to what other people had to say.
Brendon is not putting people down. He showed me how to use the adjustment brush on LR4, and I cannot thank him enough for that. I admit, Brendon was being kinda picky on that one, but all the other times, he's just trying to be helpful. Please give him some points for that.
Oh, really. Most of my panning shots are actually at shows. And you don't look at my photos. I like your photos, and I honestly think that all of your shots are good (if not overrated). And for the record, criticism on every shot would be very helpful. If you say my shots suck, feel free! Shows I need improvement.
Not a panning expert. Just saying the front is a tiny bit blurry. Still said it was damn near perfect. Thanks for your sarcastic comment though, Andrew. :)
