Today's cars, perhaps, but the team behind the F1 were driven by passion more than anything else for the entire project, and that includes the body's design.
If you think it's ugly, that's one thing, but to say the design was created without passion and strictly for cheating the wind, that's just flat-out laughable.
He's saying what TG said about the MP4-12C. It's good as a piece of engineering but it looked as if it were designed by a computer, without a passion for cars. Just designed to be as fast as possible not to look like a super model.
I'm not saying they weren't a good car for speed but they didn't put much in the looks category but they are perfect for speed racing etc but still they are kinda ugly
Listen up Mustang-man, you just got told off by somebody called fartbucket. Your opinion is certainly your own, but your suggestion that Mclaren could have put more thought in to the F1s
exterior is what grated me. The F1 was built from the inside out to be fast. Which is why the 1995 24 Heures de Le Mans featured an F1 as the overall victor, defeating even the prototype class. If you like cars desinged around a look, then ad the Plymouth Prowler and the Chevy HHR to your top ten list and stop hating on cars that require (minimal) thought to appreciate.
mustang1-your opinion is bad and you should feel bad.;) but seriously, you should get that head wound checked. we care about you, man even if your opinion is wrong.
P1, LaFerrari, Veneno and 918 cannot compare to the vehicles of decades ago simply because the supercars in today's market are created by a computer. Decades ago, cars were design by hand with very talented people driven by a passion.
Someone who likes Mustangs is not allowed to call the Mclaren F1 "ugly". :P I think it's safe to say they put about 12x more thought into how this car looks then the P1.
Hey it's all opinions but I still think it is ugly and I would much rather take a mustang for looks only yes I know more hp bets bodywork but they could've put more thought in like the p1
