Description I finally spotted a McLaren. I couldn't believe it when I saw this parked at Phillips Place last Saturday...it was hidden behind a 328i, which is massive compared to this. Definitely drew a good bit of attention...one passerby at the plaza thought it was a Ferrari.
And wow that's funny. At Cars and Coffee Charlotte a guy had a Ghost and some guy must have thought it was a Merc or something and I heard him say that the down payment was cheaper than a Scion. Owner was also mad considering he just bought it
Nice spot! You didn't tell me you were in Charlotte but Ive seen this same one in Atlanta. Had an NC plate which I'm assuming this one does. It must be pretty high milage
Thanks guys! Haha Lamborarri, I once saw on a Ferrari forum a story from a former R8 Spyder V10 owner (in Texas, I believe). He brought his R8 to a car show, and got really mad when some guy asked him if "that's one of them new TTs." He sold the R8 like the next day and got an F430 lol, on the basis that no one will mistake the Ferrari for another car.
I hate it when people get cars wrong. One time I was standing next to a 918 Spyder at a car show and some guy walked up and asked, "What type of 911 is this?". The owner got so mad. Anyway, congrats on your first McLaren! Still need to finds one, awesome shot and angle by the way!
Thanks Howard! What's weird is that I hadn't spotted one before that evening, then I spot two in a day (missed a white 12C coupe cruising around with an F430). I think this was actually Volcano Red, but whatever it was called, it looked awesome in person.
