Description As I have mentioned in my previous shots from this day, this specific P1 was the infamous one that crashed in Dallas roughly 4 years ago.. The car was deemed totalled however, the owner decided to sent it back to McLaren for a complete rebuild.. no one knew where the car was for the past few years.. however, it wasn't until earlier this month that I found out the car revived.. here's what it used to look like http://www.exoticspotter.com/mclaren-p1-dallas-texas-187947
Why buy new? I know that usually once a rare and exclusive hypercar is totaled they normally would buy another one if one was available, but he decided that rather than have the entire world be down one McLaren, he decided to have it rebuilt, that way future generations have it to enjoy.
Makes you wonder...owner was under 30 at the time, how does he have enough cash to rebuild a totaled hyper car this early in life? Why not buy a new one?
