Description You guys have no idea how nuts I went when I saw this. It was parked at a Starbucks in Cary, and the owner was having a cup of coffee with the owner of a new Ferrari F12. This has been running around the Raleigh area for a few months now, and I'm glad I finally saw it in the wild!!! The weird thing is, before yesterday, I had only seen one SLS in the wild. I saw two yesterday (the other was a convertible). Feedback is much appreciated : )
He seems to drive this to a lot of car shows, but other than that nobody really ever seems to see it. You sure it was the same one for sale at MB of Cary? I overheard him say something like he hated dealing with them and to only buy from the Mercedes dealer in Raleigh, for whatever reason.
This was at Pinehurst Concours d'Elegance as part of the show. This was for sale in Mercedes Benz of Cary when I went to pick up my GL and when I went back the next day about a problem with the brakes and it was gone. It was pretty cool to see.
What color was the CLK63? I saw a black one at RDU airport several years ago but wasn't into spotting then. I'll definitely keep an eye on your IG account for some pics!
Nick- At Cars and Coffee Raleigh this past Saturday (April 18), we had triple Black Series's. The owner brought his SLS Black Series, and he had a friend bring his SL65 AMG Black Series. Someone else brought his CLK63 AMG Black Series. It was great! You should've been there. They parked with a 1700HP Porsche 911 GT2 that runs on airplane gas. It was my first time seeing the SL, and it looked amazing.
Thanks Joe! I just hope to be able to spot some normal SLSs this year...I've only see two others (neither was a Black Series) and I missed both. I hope you get to spot some of these too!
Gave you 148 so you're almost there, lovely shot the lighting is perfect, after spotting a dozen or more standard SLS's I hope one of these will come out for me this year.
