Looks like it's based on a 1936 Ford Humpback 2 or 4 door sedan. There's a great video on You Tube, 1936 Ford Humpback Sedan by Hayden Wilkinson. Damn near the same color! Don't know the U.K., but these must be more common in SoCal. What a great find, spot, & picture.
