@21Luke21: They never actually "re-added" or removed the Model S category. It's always been here but they made it so you cannot post in it, since its no longer exotic. It was left because if they remove it, the shots posted while it was exotic would get removed also. (Hopefully my explanation makes any sense lol)

Howard, they Re-added the Model S category. However, it seems like it isn't available to change this photo to the Model S category. I must be seeing things... Lol!

There's no more Model S section that's why it's in other other and not under Roadster

Hi Luke. If the I8 had the performance of the Tesla it would almost be bearable to pay the hefty price tag. The BMW is just beautiful! The Tesla is no ugly duckling and it does have the whole package. looks, speed with a descent price tag. So I guess if money is not an issue the I8 would be my choice. Have a great weekend Luke.

Well said Jackson. We've got very few of these here! I wish we had more! They look great. I wish I saw exotic cars like this more often lol! I did however see a rather nice Italian beauty in White today, so you will see a shot soon.

Thanks Howard! And yes, only 2! This red one, and a black one. There are so few because the import taxes and import costs are astronomical!! There are ways you can dodge the higher import tax rate, by importing your car through one of many special import business', but theres a lot of hassle. This red one specifically goes to my school. The owners son is a good friend of mine. They also own a Tesla Roadster, which I've spotted numerous times. Anyway, Thankyou for the kind words!!

There's a good 10 or so at my school alone haha. Then again I'm stateside, so can't really compare

Thanks for commenting West. And to answer your question, that's a tough choice. I love both of these cars, but the i8 has got the advantage. The styling of the i8 has been thought about more, and the attention to detail is much higher, such as angles, unexpected curves, small details which make the overall experience better. Whereas with a Tesla, it looks like an ordinary Saloon car. The design is similar to many 4 door cars, so it just doesn't have an advantage. I'd go with the i8 for the looks, comfort, and styling, but, I'd then go Tesla as they are much cheaper. Overall, I'd choose the i8, even with the hefty $290,000 price tag. How about you West??

Fine by me. If it's only 1 of 2 in NZ, that's like seeing a Reventon in IL - likely to never happen. Insane find Luke!! :)
