Description 1973 Triumph GT6...even in an English-influenced environment like our own these are a bit of a rarity.
In fact a workmate of my father had one and took us for a good burn when I was about 14, and often when talking about it people didn't know this model and thought I was getting confused with the TR series.
This example is a 2-litre model, however I'm sure some of them came with the 2.5 litre straight 6 and electric o/d.
Parked across the road from a job I'm on so snuck across for a closer look.
well he has a tr7, and hes been looking at all different triumphs, mg's and porsches. his dad just gave him a Cadillac allente and my dad has a celica all-trac turbo in hemmings sports and exotics
Nice finds! I love seeing classic cars on the road.
Hepclover, if your dad is actually seriously thinking about buying one, tell him to get one. There are only roughy 1500 left in the world, from the original 40,000+ that were produced. So it is a really rare collectors item!
You'll occasionally see a couple out on club days with other Triumphs, I guess they still pop up for sale.
On a similar note, I went to a private autoparts suppliers today looking for a filter element for one of our bikes, and parked in the workshop was a Lotus 7 ex-Japan which had been rebuilt, and a 63 Corvette convertible. I'll have to wait for them to get on the road before submitting pix I guess.
