Other Vintage spotted in Amelia Island, Florida

Details on This Other Vintage:

  • Location
    Amelia Island, Florida
  • Description
This is the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans winning 917k. The first time Porsche ever won Le Mans was with this exact car (917-023). It is by far the coolest car I have ever seen and probably will see for a very long time. Also there was a 275 Nart Spyder a few spots down which was driving around earlier in the day and a GT40 under a cover so in very good company.

I asked the lady guarding the gated off cars and she said there was one back in there. I thought I saw the outline of a Huarya which is the only reason I asked her.

@T07Jax were there Paganis at Amelia or are you talking about at Car Week?

I don’t see the issue, like I’m loving the Pista’s and McLaren’s and then you get down stairs and there’s Pagani’s and vintage Ferrari’s you can’t get and it kills me.

Same thing happened to plenty of spotters at Car Week as well. They tried to get pics of exotics at the bottom floor garage but got yelled at by security. Crazy spot though!

I hated not be allowed to take pictures there. I didn’t see this, but there was a GT40 on the upper level.
