Description Excellent condition Oldsmobile with immaculate interior!! Had California license plates parked in front of a private gym in a rich area. The color in this photo looks brighter than it really is in person. What do you think?? Look at those wheels!! Does anyone know the model, it had a 66 on the back.
Best I can tell, it's either a '49 ( Club Coupe) or a '50 ( Club Coupe, Futuramic 88 or Futuramic 88 Rocket Club Coupe). They made 98s, 88s, & 66s. Couldn't put the 66 together with these years with any accuracy. The 66 probably designated the least expensive model, maybe a 6 cylinder, similar to a Business Man's Coupe. It's possible that the 66 was the emblem found & fit if the original wasn't available. With all the customization who could really tell. May well be a genuine 66?? Chopped about 5" I'd say, looks like late '50's to '60 Corvette tail lights, partially shaved (like my GF) no door handles, etc. Love the black, orange & ivory colors. I'd be proud to own this car. Terrific find, great photo.
Thanks and I don't much about classic cars either. The roof looks kind of beige in the photo but in person it doesn't look too bad cause it's more of a white. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
Its a beautiful car, but I personally do not care for the color combo that the owner chose; with the black wheel covers, orange, and beige roof. I really do like these cars though, not sure on the model either (I don't know classic domestics as well as I should) , anyways nice spot!
