1937 sound about right. The Nash Lafayette was originally a separate company called Lafayette Motors. Nash would have full ownership of Lafayette by 1924. In 1934 Nash reintroduced Lafayette as a line of less expensive cars under Nash. A year later in 1935, Nash introduced the 400 as a sub model between Lafayette and Nash. However in 1937, Nash decided to introduce the Lafayette as a Nash model and permanently ending the Lafayette Motors. The Nash Lafayette would sell until it was replaced by the Nash 600 in 1941.
