Description This is the first nice car I spotted on my way to Dallas. It's a nice old Amphicar and it's the first aquatic vehicle(look at back picture for propellors under the car). I spotted it at a rest stop/fast food place in New York. I love the color on it too, must match the water it goes in.
It's funny you brought this up because my dad was actually telling me the other day that he took some film photos of them in the water back when we lived in Seattle 15 years ago so i'm going to try to find one to post.
Oh. Yeah. I'm so tired of using my phone for my pictures.
Soon i'll get that camera. But the problem is, once i get it, it'll be a while before i get to use it on a car because car season's pretty much already over here.
Here we have something called the lark and it's a boat for water and land.
I cant find any pictures of the right one on the internet though.
And the only way you can get a ride in it is if something happens to the boat you're in while you're in the water so they have to come rescue you.
The Sodus Point fire department has a couple of them.
The only other way for a ride is the day where they take kids for a ride in the lake on it.
I might have to go out sailing with my camera more to try and get a picture of one in the water.
I'd be the first to get a picture of a car in the water (thats not wrecked) on exoticspotter.
And that's how you spell it???
Because I thought that's how it's spelled, but I took a picture of the emblem and that said Amficar.
But Amphi makes more sense because that's the classic Latin prefix.
