@ sirius,,,,,,,, IIRC, those scoops were also there to provide clearance for the tires on the speedway versions

There are a few of those Dukes of Hazzard that appear in shows from time to time but I assume they are replicas.

I've never seen a dukes of hazard car in my area but I've seen 2 starsky and hutch cars and mystery machine in Rochester.

Such a great spot! I NEVER see these on the streets for some reason. Probably very few real Superbirds exist and the similar looking Charger Daytona are slightly more common. There should've been a "Dukes of Hazzard" car next to it.

My dad saw one in the Jupiter area a few weeks ago, in a bright green color. I, myself, have never spotted one that I can remember.

Great find!

There's only 2 legit Plymouth Superbirds in NZ, they are that rare! Sweet spot and shot!

There are a lot in the Rochester area surprisingly.

I've seen this blue one (was with him when he took the photo), and orange one, a yellow one, and a green one over the past like 4 years all on the streets.

The second half of my username "Rivibird" is made because of this car, and out of all the cars I've seen, after 10 years, I still have not been able to photograph a Plymouth Roadruner Superbird. There is one in Grabber Green at Collector's Car Garage in Bedford Hills, New York however I was not allowed to take pics of it.

A perfect example that Americans make the ugliest auto's in the world. What a tuna boat! Thanks for the terrific photo!
