technically the base is on a VW Beetle (who was also a base for the first 356). The body is a monoblock in fiberglass. To reduce the weight, Dr. Emil Enzmann, did not integrate doors. The label "506" was actualy the number of the exhibition stand of Dr. Enzmann on the IAA (Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung) in Frankfurt in 1957

Its EXTREMELY debatable. There are a few up, but i don't consider then exotic.
