Description Been forever since I posted anything....here's a GT3 parked at the Prestonwood Country Club about a month ago. I usually don't check this part of the lot and almost missed this, but noticed the wing out of the corner of my eye and drove over to check it out. Needless to say, I'm glad I did.
Yeah, I see what you're saying about the Paddle shift being "semi automatic" etc. I'm fairly certain that it was a true Manual California because I have a friend who also saw it, and he said that it had a stick shift transmission as he looked at the interior etc. Unfortuantely I didn't see it when my friend saw it. If I see any California's from now on, I will let you know if one is the true Manual.
A lot of 360s, F430s, and the like are listed as manual even though there are paddles behind the steering wheel and a button on the center console that CLEARLY says "auto". So, it's possible, but highly unlikely. If you did see one, though, that was a real gem.
Nick, I have a feeling that one of the Ferrari California's that I have seen was a manual. It was purchased from the Ferrari dealership when I saw it last. It was listed as a manual California, but i never looked inside or payed attention to anything on the inside. I could be wrong, but I'm fairly certain I'm not wrong lol.
Thanks guys! I appreciate all of you taking the time to like and comment on this, as I was a bit bummed when it was removed from the featured page (I don't know why).
Alex, it was actually after 4:00 in the afternoon when I shot this! This shot was facing east : )
Dustin, after I went crazy and saw a bunch of these within a month and a half, I haven't really seen anything worth photographing since (it's been about a month and a half since I saw anything very good).
Luke, I refer to Ferraris with gated manual transmissions as manual, and the ones with shift paddles I refer to as automatics. Every Ferrari except for the Enzo, 430 Scud, and 360 CS, up until the current lineup (Cali T, F12, 458/488, FF, LaF) was available with a true manual trans, though there were only like 39 599s ordered with the manual trans (20 of which are in the U.S.), and no one will ever find a manual California as only three were ordered that way.
It's like that in Raleigh/Cary. I went like a year without seeing any Ferraris, then saw like five or six within about a month of each other. And what's really weird is that the weather doesn't really seem to have an effect on most of the spottings.
I know that feeling, juland august were like that, Ferraris, Astons, alpina b7, a lambo, and a bunch of crazy stuff like that that is really rare around here
Thanks man! Yeah I had only seen like one GT3 in about a year, but I had a crazy stretch and saw a bunch of different GT3s within six weeks of each other, so I've still got a couple more to post.
