Actually, I looked at your account, but couldn't find this picture. Whatever.
I saw your other pics and they are BEAUTIFUL! You have a talent for this thing, man.
Oh, and I just love the long exposure on 'All Star'.

I don't remember. You could check the EXIF info on Flickr. Search Rupert Procter and GT3 RS. I can't access it right now...

Interesting! Thank you! I'll check it out - maybe I can get both! Was this shot taken with the 50? If not, what was it?

Ady, I think you might be pleasantly surprised by how good a fixed lens is. In my opinion being limited to one focal length encourages you to 'zoom' with your feet which gives you more time to think about your subject and composition. 50mm is a great length for day-to-day photography which is why it has been the classic length for so long. Personally, a lot of the time I use a fixed 200mm lens, which makes me really think about my photos before I take them. In fact, I use it way more than my 24-70mm. Also, I'm sure you'll be delighted by the killer narrow depth of field an f/1.8 lens gives you. :)

But it's a fixed lens... that's the problem.

It's the bargain of the century and very fast if you're taking moving subjects.

Thanks! I'll try, but I probably can only get the standard 18-55.

Actually this isn't edited much. A bit of vignetting for drama and pulling out some of the background color, but other than that it's pretty much original. I don't really like to spend too much time in Photoshop if I can help it. What makes this one looked PSed it's that I used fill in flash in the day, hence the over exposed license plate. I can try and stuff or the original to show you.
