UtahCarSpotter, this certainly is not a Rolls-Royce paint color! You are correct to point out that there are colors like this available today, because these are actually Volkswagen or BMW paints, not Rolls-Royce! Everything now is as Madonna said "a candy perfumed girl/boy."
It's awesome that you own some. I wonder if this was a factory option color at the time cause I know at least right now Rolls offers tons of color variety.
I bought one of my favorite Rolls-Royce, a 1959 Silver Cloud, in Salt Lake City, just a very few years ago. So they are certainly there. Your guess is right, it is a mid era Silver Shadow (1974-75 or 76). It certainly is an odd color for a Rolls-Royce, because only a really cheesy owner (and a really cheesy paint shop) would've ever painted a Rolls-Royce such a color! I guess "unique" is a word you could use. I can think of several others.....
I have seen a few bentley continentals in utah. Other than that and the rolls for sale at the ferrari dealership, I haven't seen any mulsanne a or roll royces.
Thanks guys. Yeah there aren't but I know of another older Silver Spur and there's 2 new Ghosts in the area and 1 new Phantom. Also 2 Bentley Mulssane's
There's some people here who are really good at identifying classic Rolls and Bentleys. Though if I wanted to make a rough guess (from Googling), I'd say it's a Silver Shadow. Nice spot, too. There aren't many Rolls here in Utah.
